WHAT ARE BUBIMAGES?

Angles and light also change, introducing a completely new interpretation of the subject. This technical interference fractures the photographs surface, generating unexpected chromatic shifts, doubled outlines and altered spatial relationships. Figures begin to read as graphic forms; environments slide toward the illustrated and the hyper-real.

Whilst manipulating individual colour channels on digital photographs, the journey often leads to total image transformation.

I have re-invented photos I originally took with no such intentions. The resulting works hover between portrait, performance and visual fiction, proposing Bristol as a site continually remade through representation.

Who is Bubimages?

My name is Bub and Ive been working the last ten years as an event photographer, amongst other things. Whilst doing this I met people interested in having model shoots and so developed that further, enjoying the challenge of finding the right location and working with the model to ensure we get the best images possible.
